STEP 1 – SPRING APPLICATION – CRAB GRASS PREVENTOR
The Andersons Turf Products Fertilizer 18-0-4 with .125% Dimension Herbicide Pre & Early Post Emergent Control
This product controls crabgrass and other summer annual weeds before they germinate as well as shortly after germination. This allows you not to fertilize too early in the spring to help conserve root growth before the summertime on cool-season grasses. For fertilization and season-long control of crabgrass and control or suppression of listed annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in established lawns and ornamental turfs. Feeds up to 8 weeks depending on watering events, rain/irrigation.

STEP 2 – SUMMER APPLICATION – FEED & GREEN
The Andersons Turf Products 24-0-11 Summer Feed
This is a slow-release fertilizer that feeds approximately .10 lbs of N/1,000 sqft../week to extend the duration of a dark green grass. Our EarthWay Turf Scientist and former golf course superintendent selected this blend because of its 2% Iron (Fe) and 1% Manganese (Mn). These nutrients give a rich green color in summer where the store-bought fertilizers popular brands do not. Maintains a rich green color all summer with slow release nitrogen to provide uniform growth with extended nitrogen feeding up to 10-12 weeks.
Timing: The application date is June 1st if applying S2.5 Grub Control, if skipping S2.5, then apply July 4th.

The Andersons Turf Products 22-0-7 Fertilizer with .08% Acelepryn Insecticide (Grub Control)
Acelepryn is a new age and super safe insecticide that targets turf feeding insects. It does NOT harm honeybees. The EPA has no caution label on Acelepryn and it is safe for pets and children. The unique way that Acelepryn works allows flexibility on the timing of the application and can control grubs at any stage of life. One application gives you full season systemic control of white grubs and other pests infesting landscape and turf. This product also controls billbugs, cutworms, armyworms, sod webworms, and many other turf feeding insects. Feeds up to 10 weeks depending on watering events, rain/irrigation.
Note: Not for sale, sale into, distribution and/or use in Nassau, Suffolk, Kings, Queens Counties of New York State. The control of grubs in any manner does not control moles. Moles also feed on earthworms which is their main food source.
Timing: The application date is July 4th if applying S2 Summer Feed 24-0-11 application. If skipping S2 Summer Feed application, then apply mid- June.

The Andersons Turf Products 22-0-3 Summer Recovery
This well-balanced fertilizer restores cool-season turf from the damage received during the dog days of summer. This product feeds approximately .10 lbs of N/1,000 sqft./week. This is considered one of the most important applications for cool-season grasses and builds a foundation for strong fall turf. Feeds for up to 10 weeks depending on watering events, rain/irrigation.
Timing: Apply September 1st

STEP 4 – WINTERIZER – ROOT MAXIMIZER
The Andersons Turf Products 46-0-0 Fertilizer Winterizer
The final and the most important application for cool-season grass. This application will strengthen roots for early spring green-up and healthier turf. It can only be applied in temperatures of 45 degrees and below. Targeted to be applied near the last mowing of the season. This product is a 100% quick release. Feeds 1.5 lbs to 2 lbs of N/1,000 sqft. This application packs a punch to build you bigger and better roots to help your cool-season grass fend off the heat and drought of the next year’s summer. Also watch your grass come out of dormancy quicker, stronger, thicker, and greener in the spring.
*50 lb bag covers 8,000-15,000 sqft. depending on spreader settings
